Review:
I prefer to know as little about the film as possible before I watch it apart from the basics, the cast, director ; year, the budget, but outside that I hate to make my mind up before I've even seen it. When I review a film I say as little story as possible also for the same reason. I like to watch the trailer after seeing the picture of the difference is usually great and it shows you just how good some of these people are creating an exciting movie trailer looking film that was very, very bad. I saw the trailer for this film and in this case it pretty much told it like it is, but what I was not known that I would never watch the film normal, not in a million years. The thought of a ballet dancer Balle ting backs of Russian mafia to get back his kidnapped Sprog, take my willingness to suspend disbelief just a shade too far. He may be able to move a little bit like Bruce Lee but that's as far as it goes (in real life), but he did not even get Karate Kid lessons from Mr. Wash Myaggi Ona his Wash off routine. I usually do not mind what kind of mindless action movies, but I just really never a one of a ballet dancer with his dance skills like that but I suppose everyone is entitled to have tried. I wonder what will be next, take sanitary product testing? The acting is pretty solid of all the cast, even the stereo-type that Russian gangsters they used to be on their best behavior in the workplace. They are all so like I suspect they were all purchased from the local gangsters Are Us store, direct from the Russian criminal division, fully kitted out with ; muscle-bound waddle, receding hair shaved, black leather coats, permanent scowl, standard height and shape. Christian Slater has not been a decent selection of recent projects is the biggest attraction in it and his work is the best I've seen ; from him in ages. He was not in the movie all but certainly enough to keep the fans happy. His wife is played by a very talented Sofya Skya who can act and dance well. Im just not buying ballet killer moves for a second, though some of them seem very good. Fellow Scot Angus Macfadyen had one bad movie after another until he got his big moment playing Robert Bruce in Braveheart but has never taken the tt in anything of note. Cole Hauser is great as junkies Bounty Hunter Pitch Black, but he is another actor to find it difficult to get a decent role. He will certainly perform well but its just another quickie to add his resume and nothing more.The writing is not original or inspired, it destroyed Dot recipe a $ 4 million budget, but director Robert Crombie is still assembled watchable thriller that's a good position to make a decent drama, the characters were not all that great but it would make a good B movie.Score: 6 / 10Recommended?
